Useful information for visitors
Most people who have been summonsed or bailed to Bath Magistrates Court are told to attend at 9.45am or at 1.45pm. However, you should note that prisoners’ cases are always dealt with first and if the cells are full then you may have a very long wait.
When you arrive at Bath Magistrates Court, you will have to go through an “airport-like” security system. After this you should make your way upstairs to the reception desk where if you have a case you should give your name. The usher will ask you to notify them when you are ready for your case to be called but as has been mentioned there may still be a very long wait. There are 3 courtrooms in the main building which normally carry out Magistrates Court criminal work but there are additional courts that may be used.
Facilities available at Bath Magistrates Court
Refreshments are available at this court from hot and cold drinks vending machines. However, if you find yourself needing lunch then the nearby sports centre serves sandwiches and cakes. If you would like something more substantial then you will have to make your way towards the centre of the city.

On-site parking is NOT available at this court, however, there is private (fees apply) off-site parking available nearby. The best place to park is just across the road at the cricket club car park. If that car park is full then Bath Sports Centre car park is also very close. There is disabled access and there are toilet facilities. There is NO blue badge parking on-site.
