Information for visitors

If you have been accused of a road traffic offence and the police have not finalised the matter, then your case will be heard at the Magistrates Court.  Staines Magistrates Court,  normally, hears the road traffic cases after it has dealt with the bulk of it’s other matters, especially those involving someone who is being held in custody.  Owing to this you may have a very long wait.

When you arrive at Staines Magistrates Court you should report to the reception desk after you have been through the security check.  You will need to give your name to the usher and inform them that you have a solicitor who will be acting on your behalf.  Finally, you will need to take a seat in the waiting area and wait for your solicitor. There are consultation rooms where your solicitor can talk to you before your hearing.
