There is no onsite parking.  However there is a public car park within a 2 minute walk.

It is a 17 minute walk from Taunton train station to Taunton Magistrates Court.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I ARRIVE AT TAUNTON MAGISTRATES COURT?

You should arrive at the court 30 minutes before the time specified in the letter notifying you of your hearing.  When you enter the building you will have to go through airport like security and your bags will be searched.  You should then go to the reception and inform them of your arrival and they will be able to tell you which courtroom your case will be heard in.

Taunton Magistrates Court deals with a wide variety of criminal cases.  However, it largely deals with motoring offences.  These may be imprisonable offences, for example drink driving, drug driving, dangerous driving, or failing to stop after an accident.  They may also be non imprisonable offences, for example, speeding, careless driving, driving with no insurance, and driving while using a mobile phone.
